Since 2007, the database for Genotypes and Phenotypes (dbGaP) has served as the NIH central database for providing controlled access to human genome-wide association study data and other types of genomic data. In an effort to increase transparency, NIH is providing information and statistics on data submitted to dbGaP and the subsequent use of that data.
